Why do I design quilts?

The answer to that question is simple: I can’t stand the idea of copying a quilt from a book or magazine that untold others are also copying. Does the world REALLY need yet another Log Cabin quilt?

The journey I took to get here was circuitous. I started by reading books on quilt design, but ended up reading books on 2-dimensional patterns. I learned about symmetry, and the underlying structure of patterns. After that, how could I NOT design quilts?
