These are my latest Celtic knots.

I made them using reverse applique (a technique that gives me the control and look that I’ve been looking for). These pieces also allowed me to experiment with disassembling and reassembling Celtic knots.
This is my original knot, which is actually two separate knots: one blue, and one orange.

For my second knot, I broke the knot into its component parts.

For the third knot, I reassembled the two knots, turning the orange knot upside down.

Here’s a detail shot. What I love about the reverse applique technique, is that the spacing between the shapes is more uniform than when I cut and arrange them individually.

What do YOU think of the results?? Please leave me a comment.
Love the new twist on your Celtic work. No one knows how far you can go until you try. Keep exploring and thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Barbara . . .
Taking knots apart and putting ’em back together again opens up a world of opportunity!! I’ll certainly keep you posted.
