Foundation piecing . . .

These are my steps for stitching foundation blocks.

I begin by laying my first fabric piece face down and cover it with the muslin foundation to position the fabric.

I turn both fabrics face up, and position the second piece, right sides together, on top of the first piece.

Flip all three layers of fabric over, pin them, and stitch along drawn line.

Open out the fabric and press.

Position the third piece, right sides together, on top of the second piece.

Flip all three layers of fabric over, pin them, and stitch along drawn line.

Open out the fabric and press.  Position the fourth piece, right sides together, on top of the third piece.

Flip all three layers of fabric over, pin them, and stitch along drawn line.

Open out the fabric and press.  Position the fifth piece, right sides together, on top of the first piece.

Flip all three layers of fabric over, pin them, and stitch along drawn line.

Open out the fabric and press.

On the back of the square, stitch through all layers within the seam allowance.

Using a squaring-up ruler and rotary cutter, trim the square.

Voila!! One foundation-pieced square.
