Reworking Celtic knots . . .

I’m trying something new with Celtic knots.

I’ve discovered some knots are actually several knots interwoven together. I’ve been tracing these separate knots to see what they look like. In the example below, the Celtic knot in the center is the original knot, while the two component knots are above and below.

Now, what would happen if I put the two components back together differently? The example below is a possibility.

I propose to create a series of panels showing the original knot, the two separate components, and the recombined Celtic knot.
